Actually I found a firmware online, was able to flash it and my part number became 5E0035020C when it was originaly 5E0035020A.

 

Honestly, if someone help me to fix it via VCDS (a teamviewer session) OR giving me the correct Firmware, I can wire up to Eur 100 for it ! Feel free to PM.

Your other (identical) post says you have an Amundsen but in this post you say you have a Columbus - which is it?

The reason the navigation data is invalid is because you've fitted a unit which is not originally from your vehicle. Skoda should've been able to tell you this. There's no assistance with VCDS which will enable this.

Secondly, I bought exactly the same reference product on eBay but may be it comes from another car. Is it not possible to reinstall another firmware to get it to work on Octavia RS?

For the navigation data issue, no. The others I don't know as there's no VCDS autoscan attached to your post so it's not possible to say what the issue might be.

Driving mode is likely a gateway issue, usually FeC related as is navigation but VW themselves don’t usually deal with retrofitted units but if the FeC for navigation hasn’t been enabled in the radio then it won’t work. ACC error seems unrelated so an autoscan is needed.

It is really wierd. The product reference on the MIB Unit (the broken one has the ref 5E0 035 020 A - H41) I was able to flash and it changed the Ref to 5E0 035 020 C...

Impossible to do... without an official cable... I tried for 2 hours with differents Loaders etc but no success.

 

As I use the 18.2 version (2018) and the car is from 2014, it should be fine no ? I am able to remove errors, do longcoding changes & other tricks.

Any chance to help me out ?
