  • the Enyaq looks really promising!  I gave up waiting though and bought this - for now

  • Hi,    I just have got my Enyaq, feel free to ask.

  • For you, yes, but  then why spend time and effort posting on EV threads?

Surely that grill will never see the light of day, or be lit in the night.

Why would an EV need a snout like that?

PS.

Like the translation to English for AWD.  Whole wheat.    Kind of like, 'it has had it's weetabix'.

To see where the power is going  will you have to check the Orinocco Flow display.....

Pedestrian safety regulations probably.

There is no legislation requiring safe for pedestrains but must be fugly because it is a Skoda EV.

2018...

I'm wondering if that's what I saw in Death Valley in August last year...

WTF???

That grille has to go...   i think Skoda have lost thier way with grilles and styling recently and Oliver Stefani needs to buck his ideas up wrt his crystal design language

For me the headlights are too narrow, leaving too much bodywork below the bulbous nose and that sticky out grille with the cross bar is just horrible and too angular

I really like it especially the lights and grill 👍

Big fan of electric cars, they’ll have my deposit as soon as the books open!

Each to Thier own...   The rest is ok it's just the front that looks out of place to me

Let's hope there are no software issues.......

I wonder how much the Vrs version with 300bhp will cost after the Government Grant has been deducted, £40,000, £45,000. Whatever it is it can only do 0-100kph in 6.2 seconds or Golf GTi quick with a 460 mile range I think.:wondering:

the name is a bit ****.

I dont mind the front end though

Skoda need to get someone else to name their cars.

The Kamiq, Karoq and Kodiaq are already ridiculously daft names and this Enyaq just adds to it, why the obsession with the letter Q?

Skoda Enya sounds alright, whats the Q for 🤷‍♂️

Enya the singer probably has it trade marked.

I wonder is it some weird/stupid reference to Skoda SUVs being similar to Audi's Q SUVs.. *I dunno its bit of a stretch.

Kodiaq is fine, it's a "rough and rugged" real world location. the rest are just made up noises..

The name Enya in Celtic means either "Source of Life" or "Little Fire". The Q at the end refers to Skoda SUV bodystyles.:whew:

which doesn't make "enyaq" any less made up..

Perhaps the Simply Clever marketing idea will be to have strips of firewood in the doors so when camping owners can make a Little Fire.:wondering:

  • 2 weeks later...

Being a fan of old computers (no not the cooling type), I can’t see that name without thinking ENIAC

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/ENIAC

I’m pretty certain though the car is somewhat smarter.

All I want is an electric car that’s as practical as an ICE and cheaper with better performance. That’s not too much to ask is it?😀

As and when I am able to drive it further than the supermarket I will have something to post - that photo was taken on the one work trip I have had to undertake.  2 months in to ownership and coming up for 400 miles done.
