Error Code P0138

Featured Replies

Hello guys, my engine management light has come on so I ran a diagnostic on the car (07 Fabia 1.9 VRS) and received Error Code P0138 which apparently equates to Fuel Temperature Sensor "A" Circuit High. The car is due for a MOT next month and given the lockdown situation I don't really want to be hassling a garage two months in a row. I know nothing of mechanics so please excuse my ignorance. I have no idea what that definition means. The question I'm getting around to asking is, can I just ignore the engine warning light with this error code for about a month and get it sorted when I MOT it next month? Also is this sensor a common issue and is it an expensive fix? The car has done 145000 miles so I won't be putting a lot of money into it, but I'd like to get another year or so out of it. Any advice will be greatly apreciated.

Cheers,

Steve.
