Hello All,

 

My engine cover is completely ruined. The insulation is gone and the plastic cover itself is coming apart. When the engine (2.0tdi) is running you can hear quite a rattle. 

 

 

I can remove the engine cover and be fine with that. However, I want to check the possibility of mounting a new motor cover.

 

Can anyone share the OEM number for this specific part?

More info

I too had a rattling cover.

 

I fixed it by applying some silicone sealer to the underside where the ribbed centre section clips into the outer frame, it's plastic joints that get loose with vibration and rattles.

 

Just so folks know, most if not all parts have a p/n stamped/moulded/stickered so looking first will save time asking on a forum.
