Engine Oil & AdBlue Consumption on the RS

Featured Replies

Hello folks, running my RS for the last 7 months with around 6500 kms on the clock. On checking my adblue range , I got about 2500 kms left. So that's a range of 9000kms. Driving style is about 30% sporty, rest is a mix of relaxed highway & the usual in town jaunts. What about other RS owners, how much do you get from your adblue?

I was trying to find the engine oil capacity but can't find any mention in the owner's manual other than it consumes around 0.5 ltr/1000 km. Anyone have the official capacity from skoda?

@ThreeSixty

When you top up the AdBlue the range might well show more than when you got the car new, and then the time after that more again.

That is if the vRS behaves as other SCR vehicles can do.

Sorry no idea of your engines oil capacity.

Re-read your Owners Manual as it certainly does not say it consumes 0.5 ltr/ 1000 km.

It is something like Can or may use, etc etc, may use more in the first 5,000 km.

Same as every VW Group owners manual for many years now for Petrols, Diesels, 44kw to what ever max power engines they produce, 3,4,5,6,8,12 cylinder engines.

Adblue capacity is 18L.

Adblue consuption depends, I haven`t followed the consumption, but it`s around 10 000 km range.

There is also an oil consumption. 100 000 km on clock and has consumed about 4,5 litres oil during that distance.

Wow you already clocked 1,00,000 kms already? 4.5 lts ? - you topped up at once or periodically?

No ,periodically. First time it warned me - notification "low oil level" popped up in dash. After that I check it after every 10  15 000 km.

Not sure about the Kodiaq, but there's a recall action for the Karoq regarding adBlue dosing metering. It might be worth seeing if your VIN number throws up any info. I had mine booked in just before the lockdown situation, then it obviously got put back. I'll get it sorted at some point, although my Karoq adBlue usage doesn't seem excessive.
