hello, has anyone ever had this problem, vcsd 18.9 requests the new version and prevents me from entering the calculators

Why do you not update to the latest version of VCDS? It is a free download.

As it appears you may have a French licenced interface, you can probably also use the French version from their distributor which is currently 19.6.2: https://rosstech.fr/content/6-telechargements

Hello, I ordered the 189 interface on ebay with the software, but I received it in English (I am French) so I found the French version to download on a forum, everything worked fine until  last week, yesterday I wanted to activate an option on my daughter's skoda and this message appeared, so I tried on mine which is the same, it's the same then before it worked very well

In your opinion, it is better that I uninstall the current version, and that I reinstall version 18.9?

No - you should install the latest version as per my links.

 

If that doesn't work, you have a cloned or pirated interface and should send it back to the seller for a refund. You can then buy a genuine version :)

@laurent2b You have mentioned in another post that your cable came from ebay - that will probably not be a real version so will only work with the supplied software.

The latest official version is 20.4.

I forgot to tell you that it's been 1 year I installed vcsd and that it worked very well, I can be used at least 50 times, and suddenly it does not work anymore, only  did this happen ????

As mentioned. If it's a genuine cable and software, then you should be able to get support from RossTech. Why don't you contact them and ask for help?

What people are trying to tell you politely is that as you are not able to update the software your cable, and you bought it from eBay, it more than likely runs a hacked version of the software. This is not looked upon favourably as it is illegal and you are unlikely to get any help here in solving your problem.

Two topics have now been merged as similar answers were being made in both.

The only way to make your cable work again is to re-install the software that came with the cable! Just be aware that it has the potential to damage your car.
