I am hoping that someone here can help please.

 

First off, yes, I have learnt my lesson, and will steer clear of the apps.

 

Using the obdeleven I used the app to set the high brake light to flash when you stomp on the brakes. Now my high brake light does not work, neither do the number plate lights or the boot lock. Though the latter does work sometimes, but I have not managed to work out under what circumstances. I used the app to revert the changes but to no avail.

 

Would anyone have any suggestions as to what to check, and how to fix the issue?

Scan the car and post it up and I’ll compare it to mine. You will need the PRO pack to make long coding changes but it’s worth it to avoid this problem.

When you write “scan” do you mean a history output?

A backup of 09 Central Electronics will do it. If you type OBDEleven backup into YouTube there is a video showing how to do it.

If you look in the history of the central electrics it says the old and new values. Just look at the old values and change it back.

Thank you, before I saw you reply, I tried a full backup, but that only backed up the 01 Engine. I will have another go this evening.

Unfortunately with the App’s it does not show the long string or the bits it changed, just states App. The first thing I did was to revert the App but that did not fix it.

SashaGrace, thank you, I hope the attached is okay, I struggled a bit because I could not see how to email it from OBDEleven on the iPad so ended up using my phone. Many thanks

Which is why I am hoping when she has a few minutes that SashaGrace can get me out of my nightmare.

Nothing jumping out at me yet, thought the Byte 6 value could be it as that’s the byte for flashing brake lights but mine was 47 on the old BCM and so is yours and the adaptations aren’t screaming at me but I’ll keep looking.

SashaGrace, thank you. Apart from the rear washer, it appears nothing on the boot door works i.e. numberplate lights, brake light, boot lock, could it be something I have applied has made the module stop working? If so how would I get it working again?  Many thanks

I removed the boot trim, and moved/touched/poked two connection blocks, one light brown, one black .... low and behold the boot open light came on. So it looks like something to do with the electrics rather than something I had messed up with the OBDEleven. I could not work out how to pull either of the connectors apart. Would anyone have a wiring diagram for the two connectors please? I cannot find one online.
