Minor service now called oil service

Featured Replies

Just renewed my 2 year service package with skoda.  Noticed it's now called an oil service not a minor service. Why the change in terminology  and what does it actually mean. ?

Actually they are now called an 'Oil and Inspection service'.    (The '£99 Oil Service' offer was scrapped over a year ago. )

They were called Interim services for a couple of years after changed from being a 'Minor Service' & then a 'Major Service'.

& the 'Extended Scope Inspection' can be added to the Oil & Inspection Service.

Those not on a Service Plan will be paying for the Consumables that are fiited.

Those on a Service Plan should check just what they will actually replace at a Service. ie, Spark Plugs or Fuel Filter, Pollen Filter, Air Filter.

They might say not due for replacement according to the Schedule / Guidelines.

Most likely cos they will just change the oil and drive it back out.
