Hi,

 

I’ve recently purchased a 2015 octavia. I’m having problems getting the sat nav to speak. I’ve been through all the settings, I’ve done factory reset, I’ve tried voice command to turn on announcements, I’ve tried turning on volume on the steering wheel. Nothing has worked so far. Would anyone have suggestions please?

Bit obvious but does it have an SD Nav card in the slot in the glovebox and can you see maps on the central info screen?

i found mine could alter the speaking volume by turning the volume scroll wheel on the steering wheel BUT only when a navigation instruction was being said like 'turn left in 100yards". if yours is set very low it might take a bit of guesswork with the timing....

Yes, there is. When I bought the car it had ECE 2018 maps. I've updated the maps on the SD card to ECE 2020/21 as I thought this might help, but unfortunately it didn't

I've been trying this, but I'm either not getting the right timeing, or there is something wrong with my nav unit.
