Morning all, not sure where to post this but my mate who runs a garage and pretty much exclusively breaks Fabia VRS’s (nothing he doesn’t ant know about them) is having to downsize his unit over the next year and needs to have a clear out. If theres a part you need he is guaranteed to have it. Not sure about posting details on this post but if any of the mods say its ok then i will post him name and contact details. Everything will be pick up only.

Hey, unfortunately i dont think he would consider it at all. Part of his problem is that he is so busy and he’s a 1 man operation hence the absolute mountains of stuff that he has. He’s flat out trying to make up his losses from ‘The Rona’ and now the landlord has told him he’s knocking the unit down and building new ones next year and he’s left with tonnes of VRs parts everywhere. I counted 5 full sets of calipers earlier today, he must have over 50 calipers there is total. He also had a tin of original VRs green paint (i had that already mwhahaha). Its ridiculous how much stuff is there that he wants to get rid of but he’s working 12hrs a day and has no time hence me asking if i could take some photos and put them up on here for collection. His prices are pretty cheap as well. If the mods say its ok i’ll put his name and contact details up on here. He just has no time to do any advertising. 

That would be an absolute travesty if all that stuff got dumped - not now but maybe in 5 years time when spares get scarce 

 

To document, list and advertise all that stuff is no mean feat - then to sell and p+p it all is very time consuming 

 

The Fabia Mk1 is now at the stage where there is a big cull rate - even moderate repair is becoming uneconomic and this treasure trove could well be the saviour !

 

If you and a bunch of friends got together to help this chap out you would be doing a great service

 

I saw this exact scenario happen 10 years ago with a fella who broke a load of Porsche 924/944s and lost his storage ! Ended up all the parts were just dumped and now it's left that all them parts are 5 times the price and worse condition! 

 

I just hope this dosen t happen here !

Yep, that was my thought too. You @NathanG could make some cash at the same time as the hoarder making some cash that he'll not otherwise see. Win, win.

He’s saved my arse so many times with spares im just trying to do him a good turn. Its not about money for me at all. I’ll give you an example of the hours he’s been working. Last Monday i came down at 10am for a chat, ended up helping out as he had a couple of big jobs on and we left at 3am. 
 

he has so much Fabia stuff, some boy from Port Talbot messaged him earlier about and entire front end including both wings, drivers door, drivers side rear door and a bumper and he has them all there just hanging about. 

The stuff worth keeping are the bits unique to the VRS, there are a trillion PD130 engines in breakers everywhere so the oily bits are largely worthless and should be weighed in.

Any updates on these bits? Still available?

I think that as a gesture of goodwill and considering the circumstances, we can allow the garage owner's details to be posted on this thread.

 

However if @NathanG wishes to sell them on his behalf then he really needs to be a Freedom member to abide by the Rules.

Has he got the third centre head rest on any of the sets of seats?
