Newbie - switching from Ford to Skoda

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Later this week I make the switch from long term Ford Mondeo estate owner to Skoda Superb Estate owner (69 plate 2.0 TDI CR SE L Executive 5dr DSG [7 Speed])

 What tips can you 'experts' give me on things such as;

- Skoda Data card (any good - where to buy for less that £40)

- Connect Lite - useful

- Map updates including POI

- what else to look out for...

All help appreciated :-)  I'm well used to Ford's and the forums for sharing useful info - hoping to get some great info from fellow Skoda owners also :-)

Many thanks all...

If you have a SIM slot then Three do a free forever 200mb/month SIM.

Check out posts from MartiniB to download the latest maps.

Cheers for the info - silly question, what did you have in mind for the SIM to be used for please? (200mb/month isnt a lot)

If you subscribe to Connect then it will be ample for traffic info plus some extra bits.

Map updates is fairly easy - go to the Skoda website to find out more.

The Mondeo is a very resolved package. I'd be really interested to hear your thoughts on how they compare.

I had a 2011 Mondeo Titanium X Sport for 3 years - great car in many ways. Swapped it for an Octavia VRS and changed that for my current Superb Sportline Plus.

I found the Ford forums helpful but the Briskoda is an amazing place for information.

Welcome, by the way!
