This diagnostic tool seems too go to be true?

Featured Replies

It's cloned/copied hardware and hacked software based on a very old product. I wouldn't let it anywhere near my car and I'd be amazed if it worked in a useful fashion on a MK2 Octavia.

What do you want the tool to do?

Mainly read errors but was surprised it programmed keys and I didn't even know you could retrieve the ECU pin.

I doubt it does what it claims and I've never heard of an ECU PIN unless it's the numerical keypad security system fitted to some cars back in the 90's.

It's the pin you need if you program a key, usually a 4 digit PIN.

Do let us know how you get on.

Two comments:

-some of the description contains pretty poor spelling mistakes, so I'd imagine is prepared by a Chinese company, or at least one for which English is a (very) foreign language.

-It says that it is for Windows XP only. Is that what you have?
