Hello Jay from sunny Leeds 👋

My intro to Skoda was a 2005 Superb.  That didn't have bluetooth either.  Didn't stop it being a terrific car 😎

Gary

Welcome.

I used to live in York. I still have family in the Dewsbury/Leeds area.

I've always found it silly that the Columbus never had integrated Bluetooth.

In order to add factory Bluetooth you need a harness, microphone (that fits in the interior light) and a Bluetooth module.

My 2010 hatch had the integrated blue tooth on the Columbus, although the car I test drove in Nov 2009 before I ordered mine didn’t have it so it came as a pleasant surprise.

overall it was one of my favourite cars of all those I’d had, one of the few I was really sorry to see go although the replacement Vauxhall Insignificant probably had something to do with that.

Best of luck with the Superb, the Elegance is still a really nice package and I’m sure you’ll enjoy owning it.

Is this the PD engine?

My son’s Golf 1.9PD had a similar problem which after much head scratching on the part of the garage was finally diagnosed as a broken wire to the camshaft position sensor. Dipping the clutch and bumping the engine it seemed was enough to make contact again and it ran normally.
