the more i drive it the better and smoother it gets. took it in this morning re sos warning re passenger airbag, needs an actual replacement part ( not in stock) . had a steady ish drive there and back sticking to limits mostly 110 kph as mostly dual carriageway. averaged 47.4 mpg for round trip including town stop start stuff, so well impressed as it has only done just over 600 kms now and engine still tight. love it, feels more lively and responsive and less ponderous than the old Karoq and actually only a few inches difference in size but less height which must affect cog. well happy

  • I would never judge another's purchase decision as strange, without knowledge of the decision making process, you may see it as a downgrade, I don't, hence my purchase. Purchase decisions are not only

  • Strange purchase decisions. You downgraded from a Superb to a Karoq and now downgraded to a Kamiq?? A Kamiq is a tiny tin can compared to a Superb.

  • That's finally prompted me to do more than just moan about it. I've sent feedback using the online form on the Euro Ncap site - "In a forum that I follow it has been said that the Skoda Kamiq ach

Interesting that on my commute - mostly downhill or flat - I get over 50mpg but on the identical return journey I get just over 35.

But only done 300 miles so far so engine yet to loosen up.

Apart from the immensely annoying lane "assist", which is totally inappropriate for the sort of wide B roads that I use as a preference - getting used to switching the damn thing off before I move - and not being able to connect to Skoda Connect, I like it.

The Kamiq has been thrown outside temporarily whilst I prepared the boss's car for winter. all done now and pretty pleased with the result of two days work. Hope you agree. Steve

Done mine too. Ceramic coated 3 coats of CarPro quartz

I now have garage envy. Wish mine was as clean and spacious as yours.

I see a lot of complaints about the Lane Keep assist, Wondeing if this could be disabled with OBD software like Carista.  Has anyone tried this?

The problem is not directly the Lane assist, it’s that in certain parts of the country, the repainting of white lines, and (lack of) quality control on resurfacing means some sections are a multi colour patchwork.

Its only common sense telling you where the Lane ought to be, rather than clear road markings actually deliniating distinct lanes.

Had mine since November and it just gets better and better

Long trips up north with cruise control at 70 returns 52-55mpg.

Very relaxing car to cruise long distances but good on the B roads and fast A roads as.

Only disappointment is that the sound system could do with more bass (standard speakers not the uprated ones)
