MPG

Featured Replies

Hi, its been a while since i was on here moaning about my low mpg when i first had my Kodiaq but now 7 months on and 5500 on the clock it is a lot better.

Around town about 33, going to work, 13 miles each way about 38 and on a recent trip to Liverpool, from Coventry 110 miles each with the air con on for the entire journey i averaged 45

to the gal. i was well pleased

That still sounds low. I’ve never turned the aircon off and expect a little more to the gallon than you quote ... and mine’s petrol!

Anything over 30mpg in a 2 ton, flat fronted, jacked up, seven seat SUV is acceptable.

The rest is down to driving conditions and driving style.

That sounds low to me.   I’ve just done 1,000 miles in my 1.5 TSi DSG, and averaged 42mpg.  You must have a heavier right foot than me.

My average over some 26,500 miles is shown below as 35.2 mpg, includes significant periods towing trailers, and the aircon is never turned off. Further detail can be seen by double-clicking on the mpg figure with details maintained by Spritmonitor.

I can live with this.

Wasn’t hanging around when the opportunity arose.

Loosening up nicely.

Due to COVID I’m only at 1500 miles or so.

ps - previous Kodiaq gave me a genuine 38mpg over 30K miles and 3 years.

70 mile round trip at the weekend in a 1.5 dsg with 4 adults and baby returned 39mpg. car only has 150 miles on the clock. sitting at around 60-65mph on the motorway. cant complain with that

240 mile round trip towing a 1.5 ton caravan and averaged 28 mpg cruise set at 60 mph, really pleased. Without towing average around 44 mpg Quartz grey 190 Tdi DSG 4x4 Best tow car i have ever driven.

36.3 mpg at the pump average over 27000 miles, 190 TSI 4 x 4, monitored with fuelly.

As silver says, not bad for a 2 tonne flying brick.
