For those who think that the ambient light intensity is not good enough, you can modify the intesity value using vcds.

The default value is 37% but you can increase it up to 100%. You can still modify the intensity from your multimedia system.

In the attached image, the door panel has the ambient light set to 99% and the dashboard, is stock at 37%( I am talking of the values from vcds, from the multimedia system, they are both set to 100%).

You can do this from 09 control module, using 31347 security access code and go to adaptation.

There, you will need to modify the value for 4 channels, one for every zone: ENG128535, ENG128536,ENG128537, ENG128538.

Best of luck! 🥂

Man i've been looking for this information absolutely everywhere! Can you confirm what address affects what sets of lights, roughly? There's 5 strips (well, technically 6) but 4 addresses in there

Hi there,

They are divided in 4 zones, one for each door, one for the light above the glove box and one for the area from the steering wheel(2 + 1 +1). I don't know exactly what goes where in term of chanel but you easly find out by modifying one o them and see the result. Also, you cand set it to 127 which is the hight possible value but the dimming from the multimedia system won't work anymore and the lights will stay lit to 100%. Hope this helps.

Honza179, you need to make sure that your tester(vcds) is installed correctly and that it supports cars after 2016
