Drivers Seat Belt problems

Featured Replies

Have noticed that my drivers Seat belt is starting to Fray , car is only 30 months old , so still under warranty , would this be replaced in warranty .Thanks

Hi John, it depends on where the fraying is - but I rather suspect that the nice man at your dealers is going to say 'that's wear and tear Sir - not covered'.

That's an odd thing to happen, i keep cars for a long time, 10yrs or more and never had anything like that.

Is it fraying in just one place, or all along? 🤔

Cut into the plastic where it comes out of the pillar? That'll cause it....

Appears to be a common issue that Skoda don't appear to be rectifying.

Is that common just to Octavia's M?

No idea I'm afraid.....

Happened on my Mk2. Had to pay as it was out of warranty. Around 7 year old?
