Tow Bar

Featured Replies

Hello,

I want to add a tow bar to my Karoq 1.5 DSG 2018 (not 4x4) and I don't know if my engine fan needs to be replaced or another will be added. Does anyone know what happens?

Thanks!

When I ordered mine (same engine/DSG), I was told a non factory tow bar (without the engine change, I think they told me it was the oil cooler?) would invalidate the warranty.

I did push back a bit because I'm only ever 'towing' my MTB trailer which just hooks onto the tow bar and isn't heavy. But they were adamant I had to pay the £885 for the Skoda fitted option.

I went to the dealer and asked for an offer to have this put on my car....they said it would cost ~800-1000 EUR (different dealers/cities). But none was able to say what is going change on my car.

I want to tow a trailer (Caravan)...so, I'm at a loss right now 😞

I am in a similar position but am going to wait until the car is out of warranty as I only wish to tow a small trailer and a basic system at half the cost will be OK.
