Just noticed today that my mates Passat "climatatronic" goes down to 16 degrees whereas the one in my 2001 octavia vRS goes to "low" if set below 18 degrees. The climatronic units appear identical - anyone else noticed this ?? :confused:

Your Octavia's Climatronic is operating correctly. If you select a temperature below 18ºC LO appears in the display and Climatronic operates at maximum cooling. The temperature is not controlled in this case. The Superb's Climatronic operates similarly to the Octavia.

The Octavia II's Climatronic has a minimum temperature setting of 16ºC like the Passat and gives maximum cooling as above if set below that temperature.
