On start engine turns but doesn't ignite.

Featured Replies

Rapid 1.0 petrol engine. Intermittent fault. When pushing the startstop button the engine turns but doesn't fire up. Engine starts always on the second try. See video.

Took to the dealer, they came back telling me that the factory has no clue, could be a software issue.

Anyone heard about similar or had the same experience?

They 'who ever they are'  at the Dealership need to get someone in that does have a clue if their Trained and Qualified Technicians are not available or the might of Skoda CZ or Skoda / VW in what ever country you are in.

They can get a Professional Auto Electrician or anyone they need to like a Skoda Motor Engineer from where ever  but 'Not having a clue' is not simply clever or an excuse.

Get a courtesy car from them and leave your car until they can bother acting like professionals.

There is a RECALL on some 1.0TSI's because of an 'Injector' issue.
