Super Skoda - Black 'SUPERB' emblem

Featured Replies

Hey all,

Anyone ordered on of these from Super Skoda?

http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/SUPERB-III/Genuine-Skoda-Autoas-rear-emblem-%C2%B4SUPERB%C2%B4-SPORTLINE-black-version

Wanting to know if the black is a metallic 'black magic / monte carlo' paint colour or a plain gloss non-metallic black. From what I can understand, lots of the emblems are painted 'aftermarket' by Super Skoda however I have concerns that this particular emblem might be OEM Skoda (and hence not metallic colour). I have my eye on a full set of black emblems however the others are the metallic colour.

I've tried emailing them however it gets lost in translation.

Thanks

30eur, jeez... I could send you mine for free if you'd like to spray them in black metallic and give it a go, you'd need some 3M tape too though I believe.

PS. Just noticed you're in Australia and for some reason it's not in the listed of selectable destinations even though I got New Zealand for example :speechless:

Did you replace the above with black lettering? Just got my 272 Sportline in Race Blue and it has the silver lettering. I'd like to change them to black.

I can't figure out why some have the silver and some have black. Thought black was for the PHEV's but that's not the case.

Nah I just removed them as I don't like any of the lettering so they are just waiting in my drawer till the day I do a clean-up and throw them away.

Thanks for the offer. Before you throw them out let me know!

Yes it’s pricey for one badge but it’s easy. I don’t have much time to organise a painter and then trying to get the 3M tape right.

Super Skoda definitely post to Australia, albeit it’s taking up to 3 months to arrive currently.

I bought the black Skoda and Superb badges, I just checked and the Skoda badge is metallic and the Superb isn't. I never noticed until now!

I had my suspicions, thanks for confirming.
