2021 Columbus sat nav map greyed out area?

Featured Replies

Drove to a new destination this morning and as I drove, I noticed the map on the main infotainment screen showed the selected route as normal but then I noticed I seemed to be contained and driving within a weird shape which came to a stop half way through my route. Everything else around this area was greyed out (or dimmed) compared to this shape I was in and rthe main dashoard display. The destination and srurrounding area and the rest of the screen was greyed out (but still legible). I crossed over this "border" and the highlighted and greyed out area changed again.

Any ideas why it does this and what it means?

Thanks

It's the modern equivalent of...

Did it look as if the 'greyed-out' area might have been some sort of military installation?

Here you go

Not military, almost like a focussed border?

I can't help but watching with interest to see if you get a solution.

It's the Dominic Cummings eyesight test area.......?

Could it be range for driving electric?
