Narrow chisel hammered at 45 degrees downward on left of head. Should loosen fairly easily.

You need an extractor set. Simply drill the head out and then a small pilot hole to fit the extractor in. They are cheap enough to buy.

Or a centre punch sharpened to an acute angle is my preferred method, I used to have a special small cold chisel with I think it was called a diamond point head which was very effective, it basically had one bevel like wood chisel and a 2 stage side rake angle, bad description but I know what I mean :D

I would love to be able to replace it.

I'd take a Dremel to it to make a flat head driver slot. Then lots of firm pressure with some sort of impact driver. Just make sure the fit is good.

Gusess No one have one like these xD

xD

Impact drivers tend to work against themselves when it comes to countersunk fasteners, they require the turning moment but the axial force from the impact makes the fastener even harder to undo.

To be clear, I am talking about the old fashioned hammer type and not a cordless impact wrench which would probably do a good job, I cant be sure because its one of the tools that I have yet to purchase.

I've always drilled the top off far enough to get the disk off then put self grips on the remainder of the screw. normally it comes undone without a problem as the heat from drilling loosens it up.

In the end i drille the top of the screw and the drill broken so i had the thing stuck inside whit rhe sides of the screw. Used an impact wrench the one you hammer on and IT turns while its digging in. Need to make New bearings in the hole noe.  Will post pics when done.

Shouldn't worry too much about putting a new screw in. The disk is held on by the wheel bolts when the wheel is on. If you want to hold the disk while putting the calipers on you can put a few washers on a wheel bolt and hand tighten it.

Satisfying when you over come a problem and it's all back together. Is that a good load of copper grease I see behind the disc. I don't think you'll have any trouble getting it off next time.
