Just a quick note to say hello and thanks already for the help this forum has provided. I’ve only had my Skoda for a couple of weeks and already the info on here has been useful.

It was to do with headlights - I think I’ve been convinced that trying to upgrade to projectors is a bit of a mission!! 

Really not worth the hassle, or expense. Go for a set of Osram NightBreaker Unlimiteds and you’re not far off the illumination of HID projectors without all the messing about.

Thanks - I went for the miltec (?) bulbs for dipped, main and fog in the end. The only annoying thing is the issue with the voltage dripping on the side lights when the dipped beam is on, effectively changing the temp of the bulbs! I was toying with the idea of getting the led side/main beam bulbs that hid direct do now. They’re 5500k and assuming they wouldn’t change temp as they’re led. 
 

also wouldn’t have to worry about beam pattern as they’re on main and drl/side
