Newbie with a query ?

Featured Replies

Hi folks, just bought a new silver Karoq SE Drive 1.0 TSI manual.  Long story short - had 5 years in 2 diesel Yetis which we loved - bought a new Fabia in August and really didn't like it - missed everything about the Yeti - bought the Karoq last week.  Everything is great but there is a scuff on the rubberized dash under the infotainment screen.  Any ideas what we could use to blend it in so it's not noticeable.  Really don't fancy a new dash !  Thanks all.

Do you have a pic?

Doesn't really pick up on photo DSL.  It's mainly noticeable when you look at it from the side.  The scratches look shiny compared to the matte dash.  Not so obvious when you look at the dash straight on.

What type of material is the on? I don have my Karoq yet so Im not sure what part you mean...

Could you wrap it?

Tim1631, it's rubberised.  Not possible to remove that section of dash.  It would look odd wrapped too.  It doesn't look so bad now it's getting a bit dusty !

You could try a "magic sponge" with a bit of soapy water to get rid of the scuff and then a bit dash shine or silicone spray to get the shine back. Try a little bit of the scuff first to make sure it's not going to make it worse but that is what the "magic sponge" is supposed to be good for.

Best of luck.
