I’ve got the speed camera alerts from SCDB working fine on myColumbus,cost £10 but really easy to set up and import. My question though is it possible to improve the volume of the System poi “ding”sound when  approaching a camera,or to change the sound file completely for something more exciting?.

I do not use the "ding" at all, but if I remember correctly, the volume cannot be adjusted. And I am not sure if the "ding" can be changed at all. 

where did you get them?

 

I just use Wase... but always nice to know..

 

I see Linni video - but thats a lot of hassle for a Ludite..

 

 

Go to the scdb.info site, have a readthrough and download the correct zip files. You can try a free sample file to ensure you have the right database for your system. Once you’re happy that you know which set you want it’s £10 for the zip file, unpack it to a SD card  (personal poi folder) and load it to the car.literally 10 mins work and you then have speed camera alerts....
