Has anyone had problems with this sort of marking after rain below the door handle?

It would indicate that there is something beneath the handle that when it gets rain run down it leaves stain mark. I guess I could try and get handle off or try and get dealer to take a look as car is still just in warranty which ends August next year.

After a car wash it does not happen as it is dried so only appears after lots of rain...

Prise off the lock cover like you do when the battery key fob fails and you need to gain manual entry.

Maybe the handles are lubed a bit which is a good thing IMO.

I spray Silicone Spray under door handles and Filler Flaps and on Door Hatch Seals in preparation for Winter days and nights to inhibit freezing.

Then if there are streaks i clean them and have the paintwork polished and waxed so that cleaning is easy and the paint has protection.

I would agree with this. It looks very much like some kind of lubricant used for the door handle is getting washed out a bit with the amount of rain. Have you had the car serviced within the last six months? It could run out for a while after application.

Thanks for the responses I will try and get handle off to check it out - as Car is parked on main road this is a problem and the weather is not great at the moment but hope to check it out soon. Cheers
