Radar & Grille part numbers

Featured Replies

HI, my neighbour has managed to back into my superb causing bonnet, grille/radar cover and damage to the radar and it's mount.

My radar is part number 3Q0907561C however I have found variants ending D & E, looking at the 3Q0907561D variant  the hardware appears to be the same except the last digit changing from a B to a C (HW:3Q0907571C). Are they all the same only newer and will a new one require coding in? do they need calibrating when fitted?

Also does anyone have the correct part numbers for a 2016 sportline grille & radar cover? I have found 3V0853653F9R and ending ZD4 (satin)

thanks ady

It will certainly  need recalibrating and quite a few dealers don't have the gear to do it.

You are looking at an extremely expensive job there.

I would think that it would need calibration as said above.

Surely if he's backed into your car with his, it should be claimed on his insurance and would therefore be done professionally for free anyway?

He's offered to just pay but the more I look at the parts and prices I think it may have to be an insurance job.

Even if it was even a small touch at 3mph, if the radar has been damaged other things may not be exact and if it is done professionally by either SKODA or a repair specialist, youll also have the pieve of mind and a warranty on the work. Especially on a safety sensitive part like the radar.

your right its the radar, the mount, grille, bonnet, plastic panel and plastic radiator frame, all hight up as he drives a land rover. Warning light for the ACC and stop start disabled. At a guess I am thinking about £3000 and I will need to notify my insurance anyhow.

He's obviously reversed and floored it.

thanks
