fabia vrs vs laws of physics

Featured Replies

had a slight mishap in the fab today as you can see! no injuries to report but the car has been happier. gutted too, only put a new stereo in this morning and had to pull it back out before it got recovered and i can tell you that aint easy when the cars on its roof!

could have been far worse and have to be thankful for that.

my thanks to the emergency services and my fleet manager!

ouch... glad you're OK... thats the main thing...... no ESP on your car? :(

OUCH!! unlucky that.. glad to hear no one was hurt though..

no ESP! clipped a kerb on the way into a roundabout and the back went a bit squirrely. thought i'd caught it till the grass verge became a skoda magnet!

note the cotswold stone wall behind the car, if it had'nt rolled i may have ended up embedded in it. like i said, could of been way worse!

How on earth did you manage that? Especially without being injured.

I just hope you haven't suffered any injury that hasn't yet manifested itsself.

( been there, done that, ouch!)

D'oh!

Another furby goes hedge hunting!

Glad you are ok , but there must have been a certain amount of muppetry involved to get it parked like that.

i would'nt disagree with that! was concentrating on the car approaching from the right and hit the kerb on my nearside. i certainly cant blame anyone else!

just chuffed i walked away, back is tightening up a bit now but nothing too silly.

You'll probably have a few aches tomorrow.

Could you tell how much damage there was to the car?

A roll isn't automatically a write-off but it doesn't look promising.

amazingly all the side windows stayed intact, the front and rear screens popped tho. did'nt actually look that bad but i did'nt see it when it was righted. the front suspension was bent where it met kerb and its trashed at least three alloys.

at least my ipod survived tho'!

i hit a railway sleeper on the motorway late one night passenger side, passenger wheels were totaled rear stayed inflated the car must have gone a good foot and half in the air, luckily we didnt end up like yours but i cannot get over how solid the car is, if it was french im sure it would of been our coffin

Your #3 that I know of

Yeah, and I'll have the interior light and the plastic trim off the inside of the bootlid...

Sorry... I mean, bad luck, or good luck for not making contact with that wall. Glad you're OK.

Isn't that the Briskoda way?!

Wotcha. Gis a bit of ya car!

Holy sh.it

Glad your ok mate and seem pretty upbeat about it to

Perfectly good vRS interior there. :D

Hope all is OK - watch that neck in the next day or so - Mine didn't start aching until 24 hours later! And if you get a chance to strip out the car.... door cards, seats, lower dash trim, centre console trim, handbrake trim, boot floor....

Really impressed with how well it stood up to the abuse, could open all the doors after AND the glovebox stayed closed! seatbelt tensioners did their stuff, all good!

Mine hurt straight away and had it in a collar for 15 weeks...:o

[points the honorable Briskodian in the direction of his AX crash piccie] ;)

I went over twice at 60mph, but never suffered any direct contact with anything during that time. Worst thing was falling on to my roof when I unid my seatbelt. (there was bits of my shattered rear screen all over it)

Ouch

still makes me glad I got a fabia seeing how strong they are

I went over 1/2, I hit a low bank at 70mph and the car did half forward roll landing on the roof. It was pretty horrendous, I broke my neck in 2 places, my back in 2 places and lost quite a bit of hair, but what I lost in hair I gained in pieces of glass in my scalp!

I've made full recovery now though... thank god!

P.s. I got out without taking my seatbelt off...
