Going to install some Osram laser lights, first time changing these bulbs. Any particular technique to this, is it a straight pull or a rotate (if so clockwise or anticlockwise) and pull?

Anti-clockwise and they release

Thanks Sherlock, that did it.  As ever one side went as planned in no time, the other bulb refused to mount, despite doing exactly the same thing. 20 mins of cursing and questioning my sanity then it just popped in. Go figure.

Keep your old working bulbs in a box in the boot just in case. The trade off with all the higher powered halogens is the working time is considerably shortened. 

Good tip, I've had Nightbreakers before and they only lasted a year.

Another good tip is to look in via the front hole to guide the bulb in.
