Thinking of replacing my vRS with a Skoda Rapid

Recommended Posts

In any case, it wouldn't be a real Rapid unless the engine was in the back!

LOL I was searching for a picture of a Yellow Skoda Rapid Coupe when I found this image, as I taught my mate to drive many years ago in one. If the Skoda you are talking about was a 1974 model it would have been an S110R coupe not a Rapid coupe. In my opinion it was the most stylish Skoda ever, better looking than the still good looking Rapid which was introduced in 1982.

 A modern rear engined Skoda coupe would be the ultimate in coolness!:D

I remember driving with him by Tattershall Castle, when he had to brake hard, the Alfa GTV behind was unable to stop as quickly and rammed us up the butt, this lifted the back wheels off the road  . Apart from a crumpled rear vallance, we were OK to continue our "driving lesson", the front end of the Alfa just disintegrated on impact leaving it undriveable. A tough car indeed.
