Internet Explorer 7

erm...open ie7 and go to google, you get a button to set google as the default search engine thingy. how hard is that

Notice I said according Google... here

At the end of the day it makes no difference to me as I've no intention of using IE... that and M$ stopped developing for the mac.. guess they realised they where beaten.. :D

I moved to firefox a couple of years ago after getting bored of all the pop-ups on IE6, since then been really happy with it and nowadays nearly every site works with it, even my online banking unless I want to do a webchat with them.

One of our work staff members has downloaded it and installed IE7 onto their home PC and wondered why he could no longer access our remote home working portal. Seems that IE7 is not compatible with a Netilla remote access appliance, if anyone else is using it. Going back to IE6 solved the problem.

don't forget that IE7 is still Beta - hence there are quite alot of things it doesnt work with yet.

Oh and don't even get me started on the security issue... Firefox has its fair share of big vulns - end of! (those of you using FF really want to get yourself upgraded to the latest!)

I have been using firefox for a couple of years now, and really cant see me ditching it in favour of ie 7. Most of the new features are copied off of firefox anyway. I havent missed all the little quirks of internet explorer either. Especially the "type a web address in, Press return and I will just sit here doing bugger all for 10 minutes like you havent requested anything" bug.

Yeah if you mistype an address in IE it goes to the 'page not found' page and you have to re-type the address from scratch. Firefox just brings up a dialogue box telling you the page can't be found and the address you typed is still there so you can just edit it to make the correction. Sounds petty but it's the little things like that which make Firefox much nicer to live with than IE.
