Noooo

VW 504 00 /  507 00 if on Fixed Servicing or Variable for a TSI.    That includes 1.4TSI's.

(The VW507 00 part of that is for TDI's on fixed or variable service intervals)

The VW 504 / 507  is 5w 30 FS III  (long Life.)    It can happen to come as 0w 30 FS III  and other specs.

It can be VW502 00 so 5w 40 Full Synthetic that is used for Fixed Servicing.

............................................................

VW 508 00 / 509 00  is 0w 20 FS IV.  That is for TSI's & TDI's that have left the factory since the WLTP certifications, so 2018 on really.

A TDI needs the VW 509 00.

(VW 504 00 could be used with TSI's or VW502 00 for fixed servicing if wanted.)

A big VW issue is never make it easy if you can make it confusing, and then mess about with engine types / generations and call them similar names, then translate German to Czech. or English, American English, Spanish or whatever.

First chart is regarding earlier engines including TSI's including Euro 6 Emissions.

The one below when they went 0w 20 FS IV to get the Co2 g/km for the WLTP / RDE.

(& it is about Variable servicing and they choose not to do one for Fixed Servicing if you did not want to use Long Life oil.)

So to confirm if mine is a fixed 12 month service for 2015 1.4Tsi then

5w30 fully synthetic VW 504 or VW502  5w 40?

Yes, confirmed.

I have the same engine which I service myself and use this

I had an oil change done at a Skoda dealer last year and they used 5w40.
