Heated seat switch removal

Featured Replies

One of the heated seat switches has failed on my wife's Monte Carlo.

I have managed to remove the gear lever gaiter and unclip the wires from the switch below but cannot then remove the actual switch.

Any ideas?

Removed the window switch from centre console  on my Fabia with a plastic tool that looked like a forked snakes tongue and pushed this in at the edge  and prise up, then start again at other end the switch then came out, it's held with spring type plastic clips moulder into the frame of the switch (easy to break off), new switch just pushed in easy, should be the same but not sure as I don't have heated seats

Thanks but doesn't appear as you describe. The switch is the same as this image and appears securely in place underneath.

You have to remove the centre console, then using 2 small screw drivers you release the switch tabs from underneath, you will see this once the console is out.

Thanks. Hopefully I won't be back in a few days asking for advice on how to remove the centre console!
