Yes they will fit. They are very similar size to what comes as standard on my 280 SE-L. The offset is slightly different but should be ok.

My tyres are 235/45/18 so again slightly different but they are ok.

I've just put 17s on mine with winters and they fit fine too.

Try willtheyfit.com to check differences.

The official size is 8Jx18 ET44. I think only 4mm différence on the ET should not be a problem.

But tyre size has to be bigger otherwise, the diameter with 225/40/18 is ~34mm too small. You need 235/45/18 to get the right size.

You're quite right. I miscalculated tyres size.  Its too small. If you want 225 you would have to go up a profile size not down!

I'd be sticking with the 235/45/18 as above.

Bump to ask question re a winter wheel set

Will 17 inch wheels fit on a 280 4x4 estate? Or best to go for 18's for brake clearance?

Thanks

6.5Jx17 ET41 and 7Jx17 ET40 are standard options on the Superb MK3.

https://www.wheel-size.com/size/skoda/superb/2020/

There's also a 6.5Jx17 ET38 rim from the Kodiaq that will fit, but don't use Kodiaq tyre sizes as the outside diameters are too big.

thanks for the wheel size link which suggests for the 280 4x4 (2018 for me) the following:

215/55ZR17 94W             7Jx17 ET40

235/45ZR18 94W             8Jx18 ET44

There also a big thread in the guides section I have only just found!
