Both front tyres worn on inside edge

Featured Replies

I was doing my tyre check this morning and I’ve noticed the fronts have excessive wear on the inside edges which would suggest the camber being out.

However, since the car has only ever ever had the front shocks replaced on the front suspension in 178,000 miles I’m suspicious of balljoint, bushes or ARB bush

wear.

It’s booked in for new boots and alignment on Tuesday But Would it be worth getting my mechanic to stick it on the ramp tomorrow before the tracking is done by National. (He doesn’t do tracking).

No point NT setting it up for the Free Tracking check and then you paying for any adjustment if replacement parts will be needed.

The tyres could go on and the 'tracking check' and adjustment or better still an alignment check done someplace with all the gear and more than an idea after you get your mechanic to inspect the car.

?

Do National Tyres do a full 4 wheel Alignment check, & how much then for any adjustment?

If this is your taxi is it not getting regular inspections and maintenance anyway checking brakes, suspension, steering etc?

4 wheel alignment required. You will need something like a Hunter 4 wheel alignment.  Car will drive like a dream afterwards.
