Gumball Rally start video - Supercars galore!

Featured Replies

Well i went to watch the Gumball 3000 rally start in central London yesterday. What a brilliant day.

Got there about midday and they had shut off Pall Mall and Staint James's Street for the day for the event - you know it was going to be big!

The cars started arriving in procession from 1pm and lined up on the start grid up and down the Mall. The public were arriving in their thousands and everyone (including me) was drooling over the sight of over $20 million worth of machinary about to have the living daylights thrashed out of it over the next 8 days and 3000 miles.

At just after 4pm Jodie Kidd dropped the chequered flag and the cars started one by one. I bagged a brilliant position just around the corner from the start where the press were stood so i thought i would video it...

I don't profess to be an expert but the wonders of Windows Video Editor allowed me to create an 8 1/2 minute video - I have studied all the Gumball forums and i've not found another start video yet so mine could well be the first - who knows (or cares!). Enjoy this list of beauties which was only a fraction of the 120 taking part.....:

Great video! :D That Carrera GT sounded awesome! You got a good spot!

We were at the start line and could hear all the cars burning up that street! Kind of made us regret getting a spot at the start line, we should have gone further up! Oh well. Glad you also had a great time!

Awesome! You probably want to create a torrent before that ~120MB video breaks Bigturbo.net though.

Awesome. Totally awesome!

Range Rover - Martine McCutcheon

Man, what i'd give to be in that car for that trip!

Just downloading it now.

I echo the comment about making a torrent for the vid.

Oh, and Ross... Glad to see another Martine fan on here! mmmmm
