I'd be a little nervous of taking an electric bike through that!

Possibly the muddiest/wet group ride yet.... although we had no rain 😄

The halfway stop made up for it though 😋

Looking at the reports from the UK it is a matter of getting out when you can between major storms at the moment. 'Damp' tracks are a given, but be careful around the trees.

I get a bit nervous around the eucalyptus trees here as they have a habit of dropping really big branches in winds or during high temperatures with little notice.

Last couple of days it has only been around 21 degrees max, when we usually expect double that around this time of year. Climate change is real and manifests in so many extreme ways.

dry ground all round today on my Long Hill jaunt.

the amount of hill climb condition ive lost over the winter is staggering.. despite the running!

48mins to the top, i could do it in 40 last summer .

i have my eye on the next challenge though, next peak to the south is another 75m odd higher than long hill, it then drops down to the "Powers the Pot" road, which leads back to Tickincor woods which has some nice trails to drop down, and then a 4-5k riverside tramp to get home should make a nice circuit.

A quick razz on the Felt, rear tyre attacked by a dog, luckily just slobber on the sidewalls.... I think the owner got the gist of my reactions to dog and him 😏

I loved my cycle touring days around France. Especially fond memories of the Loire.

In those days I had a full-sized frame fitting cycle pump (actually still have it and it still works at nearly 40 years old) which was especially useful at warding off 'playful' dogs.

Only happened twice but both times were in France.
