Infotainment system and the cold.

Featured Replies

Went out this evening to pick up my son. Infotainment screen restarted 3 times, froze and got a warning that front assist was nit working. Anyone else experienced any problems? I'm fearing I have bought a bad one!

Oj, must have missed them. It is so frustrating. Just want it to work. Thought it would be such a good upgrade from the MKIII but I am getting in the car wondering if it will all work!

Screen freezing all the time. No reversing aids, on and off. Even froze and would not turn off the radio. Very poor. Love the car otherwise, but pretty angry.

I can see I will have to take it in. It is weird because it was a demonstrator and so this should have been noted. Will phone them. So poor.

You are certainly not alone please have a look at this other thread where you will find most of the numerous issues many of us have sadly experienced with our new First Edition versions, hope it is of some comfort to you.

Guessing everyone knows that pressing and holding the power button will do a proper reset on the infotainment. Hold for about 15 seconds. Had to do mine yesterday when Android auto wasn't playing any sound. My old car went through a phase of needing resetting daily for about a week then all was well. No exterior intervention needed.

all well and good but when i had my issues it would not even reset

I just leave it alone until it starts behaving normally..

Once it even remembered a new station on its own :D

I started mine today at -2°C without having any issues.
