Anyone use a bumper protector on a Mk3 Estate?

 

Options seem to be a stick on vinyl type, plastic or stainless  panel.

Any recommendation. Also looking for a boot liner (the superb boot is massive) - any suggestions for something that fits?

These semi rigid protectors need a lot of care when fitting. The adhesive strips  are one fix only. Treat them as though you were using contact adhesive.

 

On my mk2 estate I had the official accessory fitted. This  was a clear thick film and was virtually invisible. The dealer reported that it was a right pain to fit.

a semi rigid plastic liner (it came rolled up) and it also has a two sided carpet you can use for the dogs one side and then a hard wearing carpet the other side

 

I have a liner from car box that has a rubber gripper section that also folds out over the bumper when needed. 

You could always wrap it with clear film

It suits my L&K version perfectly. I'm fully satisfied. Nothing to complain about after 3 years. 

I bought a 1m x 15cm strip of this adhesive film and cut it to shape to protect my bumper from the dog jumping in and out. Cost about a fiver.

Worth taking the time to cut it to the right shape before you apply it, and I applied it with a soapy water mix and then pressed all the liquid out once I'd positioned it. Barely noticeable.

Also got one of these liners off ebay - it was one of the cheaper options but the fit is fine and it does the job.
