Questions about details on a new Fabia vRS

Featured Replies

Apologies if these are things you've all answered before but I've had a quick look and couldn't see a duplicate thread.

After years of wanting one, I'm finally in the position to have a Fabia vRS as my company car on a four year lease. It came down to that or an Ibiza 1.9 TDI FR.

So...questions.

1. Have I made the right choice? I know the Ibiza is the more modern car, but the Fabia just makes me grin!

2. When are the door handles going colour coded? If I order now, and the fact that I want a sunroof, ESP and side airbags makes it a 10 week factory order, will I get the coloured handles? Not such an issue if I have black but the black handles look quite dated on the other colours.

3. Will it still look good in four years, or will I be paying to get out of the lease early and wishing I'd had the Ibiza or a new Golf in 2008?

4. Is it still only available in black, red and silver or have they brought back a yellow?

5. Has anyone seen the part leather option on the seats? I saw a leather/suede combination on an Octavia in the showroom today and it looked gorgeous. More practical too if the seats are going to go bobbly.

Off for a final test drive tomorrow before placing the order, so any tips of what to ask and look for would be appreciated.

Thanks

I didnt know that Yellow had been deleted , according the the 2006 MY brochure yellow is still availible! Also I think the leather seat option is full leather on the Fabia vRS , and it is £1700 fitted , at least thats what was quoted in the Auto Express mag a few weeks ago when they ran the story , along with a pic of the seats , and very smart they look too!

Leather is a dealer fitted option priced at £1300. You can't have side airbags with leather but you can have heated seats.

Piccys Here :)

Ah £1300 , okay that sounds more like it!

New shade of yellow now available to order - Sprint yellow - production starts in 31/2 weeks, with my car - hopefully!

1. Yes! I believe you've made the right choice! :D

2. Don't think the door handles will ever get colour coded. They never have been on the Fabia.

3. Only time will tell! :D

4. Yellow has always been an option!

5. As above.

The Fabia Sport has colour coded door handles... :)

Apparently colour coded door handles are part of a facelift at the end of this month. ;)

What's all this about another face lift then? What else is going to change?

Replacing the 1.9 PD130 with a 1.4 TDI engine iirc

3: The Furby is an ugly bugger now - I'm sure it'll only look worse as it dates. I love tha fact that I'm driving an offensive looking car and annoying all the 318s with the looks AND the smog

Apparantly they are going to make them with a PD 170 engine, Strut Brace, lowered suspension, enlarged air filter pipe, FMIC, 17" alloys, colour coded handles and leather seats as standard. It comes without a warranty!!
