New My Skoda App - Service History

Featured Replies

Since changes have been made to the My Skoda App I can no longer view my Service History.

Is this info still possible to view elsewhere without having to go to a dealer?

Glad its not just me then.

Likewise here.

I think you now have to pay for some of the facilities on the app.

It was always the case that some funcitonally was a paid for add-on.

However, at least for now, they've removed the service history for everyone.... Hopefully they'll bring it back :/

It's Rubbish isnt it? A case of fixing something that wasn't broken.

If I am correct you now have to purchase the facility to save destinations in the Nav  system.

The removal of the service history seems to be deliberate, it is not available as a paid extra. I have emailed support on two occasions, they just say they have referred the query on and I never get a further response.  The developers responses to the (poor) reviews on the apple store say "by the end of this year (2021) we plan to introduce a new service which will also contain the history of service visits" so don't hold you breath, all in all pretty disappointing when the old app did all of this and more.

@mclewis thanks for digging a bit deeper in to this. Shame it’ll take a while to implement the Service History by the sound of it.

On the plus side I found the new app has different display options for infotainment display (oil temp, turbo pressure etc.).

IMHO that's very bad - service history WAS available until they "updated" the app in December 2020, so to not restore a feature that was working for up to a YEAR is IMHO ridiculous.

I've also contacted both Skoda UK and Skoda in Czech and had a similar response that "it's been referred back to the developers".

Does anyone still have the widgets on their app to show battery status and other info? When I activate my vehicle the app claims I will have 'Displays and Widgets' but I can't find them once activated. I've tried reinstalling the app and cancelling and re-activating my vehicle but no difference.  Thanks.

I can’t find anything on the app other than the manual for my car and some hints and tips. Can’t find the locate car function or the sound horn and flash lights feature that’s mentioned at all.

Wher can I find these please. I can’t find anything other than the manual for my 2016 superb.

I can't even get the app to add my car properly - I've added the VIN, but all I then get on the "Garage" page is a grey box saying "For security reasons, please connect your phone to the vehicle to activate SmartLink+". I've tried adding the car while plugged in and the ignition is turned on, but it makes no difference

With your phone connected via the USB, select the MySkoda App though CarPlay (or Android equivalent). There should be a “Display” button which will send you to a page in which you can change the Infotainment display to “Sport”, “Dynamic” or “My” (allows you to change the widgets displayed).

I’ve found it temperamental at times with the car often asking me to follow the instructions on my phone (there were none) so a quick reconnect or App reset gets it going again.

If I remember I had to pay for the locate car function. but cannot sound horn or flash lights

I was advise that in order to operate the lock /unlock function  you have to send a copy of your driving license to your  scoda dealer.

I have done this on three occasions over the past year but no effect.

Advise to anybody do not pay for anything in the app it is useless.

Seems my unit doesn’t have smart link+ Oh well no biggie really. Would have been nice to have the features but no real problem.
