Kodiaq SEL 2.0 190PS 4x4 DSG

Featured Replies

Looking to replace the family Karoq with a Kodiak but I was wondering if they have stopped a build to order on the above spec

Only interested in petrol and I’m not sure that the 1.5 TSL is strong enough in the Kodiak. It’s pretty preppy in the Karoq.

Thanks

You have a problem. Currently no petrol 2.0  engines, as far as I know.

Is this a temporary thing or have they just stopped orders on them completely ?

I don't know. I had spotted that the 2.0 petrol was no longer an option on the configurator.

It's the same if you try to order a VW or SEAT with that engine. You can order 2.0Tsi Audi's but they start from 204ps upwards.

The reason? Dunno.  We knew the 190ps Tdi was being upgraded to 200ps to comply with the latest emissions but never heard any issue with the Tsi 190.  As it's not specific to the Kodiaq that would suggest the engine will be available again.

Cheers guys looks like the 190PS 4x4 DSG isn’t available on the Seat either ...

No idea if it will come back, however Seat have just announced at 2 litre 245 version of Tarraco, so maybe VW Group are changing what is available in various models.

My own hunch is a 1.4 hybrid is more likely than 2 litre coming back in 190 form, speculation, nothing official

Would be interesting if they did the 1.4 with a hybrid. I know that the Kia Sorento has a petrol hybrid combo.

might have to hold fire to see if anything changes in the up coming months
