Could anyone answer this for me, I have skoda rooster 2007, 1.6l Petrol engine and was wondering if that car has cain cambelt?

I've popped this into the Roomster forum as it' wasn't a guide. 

 

I can't recall from my roomster if it was a belt or chain...

 

2 ticks...

 

Nope can't see from my crib sheet. Hopefully someone who knows which end of the car to look at will be along shortly :D

thank you guys, only reason I am asking because when I bought the guy said it has chain but when I just inspect the engine by opening boot I seen normal belt not chain but I maybe looking at wrong thing ?

You're looking at the auxiliary belt. Timing belts and chains are always under covers, oil-tight covers in the case of chains.
