Skoda fabia temperature light issue

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have own a skoda fabia 1.4 tdi. I went to a long drive. Blue temperature light is coming while driving. It's obvious that at morning this light will come but I was continuously driving from 5 hrs and suddenly the blue light came. I stop my car and check that rpm is high on neutral.

Check on VCDS and it's showing that coolant temperature sensor is shorted.

Already changed the coolant temperature sensor 2 times in last month, same problem is coming again and again.

Can anyone help me in this matter?

Mayby the wires going to the sensor are bare metall some where and touching sometimes (or touching ground/chassis), making a short? Since you changed the sensors several times before.

I changed the coolant temperature sensor after that I went for a long drive 400km..no light came but when I was coming back again the coolant blue light came and check engine yellow light came. Next day again I went to Skoda Delar they checked by their system and it's showing the correct coolant temperature (68°C)

But in dashboard lights are still coming. So they check wiring and all of the other stuffs. They are now saying that ecm needs to be replaced. Is it true? Or any other suggestions.

No it's not true, it means they don't know, but if you're prepared to pay them a lot of money they will try a lot harder.

Or milk you playing parts bingo!

Just ignore the blue light, it doesn't matter.

Yes I am ignoring the blue light but the problem is when it's coming my rpm got high...

Perhaps there's a fault code, maybe the fuel temperature sensor instead?
