Problem with DRL after changed BCM

Featured Replies

Hi! I've changed my BCM and have program it as my original one. My problem is that my DRL LED is not working. #18 should be 00 and now it's 01, when we tryed to changed that before, we stilla had the same issue. Someone now what to do?

You will need to find someone with ODIS or VCP to fix this. VCDS can't do it.

Ok, it is the same code as earlier or do dey have to download a new one?

When the factory coding of byte 18 is 00, it typically means that none of the 01-FF 'presets' have the correct light config for the vehicle spec.

Instead, it needs a custom config applying with VCP or ODIS.

Ok, explain, please

Many owners have assumed that they could just re enter the coding for lighting as was without knowing what langers just outlined.

Many threads about this on the site.

the bottom line is you need to do / get done what langers said.  or take it to the main agent to sort out.

VCDS put a warning in red in to not change byte 18.

If you cannot find someone with VCP it is a trip to a dealer.
