Crank case breather valve part fallen into crank case 1.2 TSI engine

Featured Replies

Hi,

I was following really clear instructions here https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/484634-12tsi-crankcase-breather-hose-one-way-valve-replacement-guide/

but unfortunately a small part of the valve and part of the grommet fell into the crank case- I tried to fish them out and also vacuum them out- but this didn't work.

I was just wondering what my options are.

I guess they are

1. leave it and hope for the best

2. pay a garage to do something - any advice on what this might be would be great

Many thanks for reading.

If they've dropped into the sump and they're small enough they might come out when you drain the oil, since they're too big to fit through the mesh strainer then they'll just sit in the sump and won't do any harm.

:whew:
