Does the boot only open by keys?

Featured Replies

I've only ever known the boot to open if you long press the middle button on the fob, should I be abkle to open it by pressing button at the boot?

Yes you should. I do not think that there is an option to disable the boot microswitch but I may be wrong.

You may have a broken wire somewhere or a faulty microswitch. How long have you owned the car for and has the button on the boot never worked?

i had this on my insignia. it was a stupidly common fault apparently.

itll be the switch in your boot latch is failed. i havnt looked at it but i cant see it being difficult to change.

You can also set the car to unlock the boot when you unlock the doors (and choose whether to just unlock the drivers door or all doors).

That would be great how do I do that, currently it only unlocks drivers door until I press button a few times but from one press of unlock it would be great to unlock all doors including boot.

if your car has the maxidot display on the instrument binacle you go into the vehicle settings menu.

if not i think you need vcds to get it done.

If your car does not have have a maxidot display, you can use one of the software option such VCDS. Personally, I use Carista as it offers many other options too. Lastly, you can ask your Skoda dealer to it, at a price!

I also like carista. You can do a lot with it.

It's not quite as good value as it used to be but still worth it.
