It was about time I registered with Briskoda.

Featured Replies

After referring several times to the Briskoda forum for various bits of information, I’ve finally gotten around to registering. I became a Skoda “owner” for the first time in 2018 when choosing an Octavia estate as my company car. I did even test drive one, just trusted in the countless positive reviews, the recommendation of a colleague, and a visit to my local Skoda dealer for a look at the Octavias in the showroom. Mine’s an SEL model loaded with extras, such as the panoramic sunroof, heated from & rear seats, & rear camera, amongst others. Having had Fords & Toyotas as company cars for the preceding 12 years, the Octavia is the best I’ve ever had, for drive, comfort, features, and everyday ease of use. Mine has however had a few gremlins & broke-down in France last summer, but I won’t dwell on these issues here.

I’m actually now choosing a new company car, and it’s Skoda all the way for me! I was set on a Superb for the size and room it offers, but am now drawn back to the Octavia, as much as anything because of the value it represents, though the features of the new model are appealing, too.

I have a query to ask other members of Briskoda and will follow-up on that separately. In the meantime.... hello!

Better late than never!

It took a Sunday with nothing that needed doing, and no urgent or pressing issues, for me to be able to find the 5 minutes it took to do it. It was always one of those things I thought I’ll get round to another time!
