my 2nd Karoq

Featured Replies

Well I had 2 yeti's before changing to the karoq - because i couldnt get them new anymore - so I got my 18 plate karoq Edition - just love all the extra features and everything - and apart from having to have a new metatronics unit - on warranty its been pretty good. So now I've ordered a new karoq - but the sports line version - as I cant get an edition in 2.0tdi version. Anything i should note that's very different? - - by the way also digital cockpit which i'm so looking forward to.

So anyone have a Karoq sportline - anything i should know? - does it have a retractable parcel shelf - as have dog in the back most of the time - but great to not have to take it in and out of car etc when dog isnt in it.  Will i get more functions via the connect app - or still pretty useless?

No it doesn't have the retractable parcel shelf - it has a rigid shelf which hinges up with the tailgate - or can be removed.

The rear seat folds down, but does not slide, so the boot space can't be expanded like Karoqs with the VarioFlex seats. The front seats are very comfortable I find, but may not be to everyone's preference. It also has 19 inch Vega wheels, which some say they find uncomfortable, but as I opted for the DCC option mine are fine. I am a bit wary of kerbing them though as diamond-cut wheels are easily damaged.

I much prefer the fully painted bumpers over the grey ones fitted to other Karoqs, but check out the full spec here: ŠKODA KAROQ SportLine | New 2020 Model | ŠKODA UK (skoda.co.uk)

Thanks for the parcel shelf info - wow a parcel shelf that has to go back living under the stairs - again!

I had a retractable parcel shelf on the Octavia.  Never used it. I much prefer a proper parcel shelf, it seems to make the car a bit quieter inside. On the very infrequent occasions that it is in the way I simply take it out and put it in the garage...............

Just goes to show we all like different things......:)

the parcel shelf for me is a nice to have - as mostly the dogs in the back of the car - and obviously a retracted parcel shelf - but when away from home and out and about with may be stuff in the boot to keep it out of sight - roll it out to cover the boot - and saves carrying it around in the back seats. I do find a few days in that i'm missing it. Cant even retro fit one as the fittings are totally different.

I've seen another thread recently where owners have been reporting that their roll-up boot cover is losing tension and not fully retracting. Several have now had them replaced under warranty I believe.
